Toolpak Force X Diamond Blade Review
Toolpaks Force X Diamond Blades are available in four perfomance levels, this also means four price bands. I've tried a continuous rim blade from the CRX series, which is described as Premium Plus, and a segmented blade from the the DBX Series (this is a cheaper blade), the DBX gives a slightly coarser cut and is more likely to appeal to general builders. To enable you to get the correct blade for the job Toolpak has produced a chart to help you get the best out of its blades. The old adage of soft for hard and hard for soft still holds true,
The continuous rim blade has been widely used for cutting ceramic tiles and facing bricks, but toolpak offer a wide range from 115mm up to a 300mm blade The larger ones are for use in petrol cut of saws if you want to cut down a slab of granite and marble, and don't want to be there all day, the 300mm will give you a lovely smooth cut. The petrol saw or bench saw also means that you can use the blades wet, this gives a longer blade life and keeps it cool, as well as preventing dust. The DBX segmented tooth is a coarser blade, this can be used on all sorts of materials, from reinforced concrete to scaffold poles. It gives a generous 15mm deep segment which should get you through a good few metres of indian sandstone.
