Dehumidifier For Control Of Moisture In Your Home
Homes, Offices, apartments or condominiums that are near large bodies of water have high humidity or excessive moisture inside. When you have large amounts of rain fall in your area you may experience this problem. Your air conditioner may not be able to control all the moisture that you have in parts of our home.

Dehumidifiers are designed to remove excess moisture from your home quietly and efficiently. Dehumidifiers are a necessity for those suffering from dust mite, allergies or simply for those wanting to keep their indoor humidity at a comfortable level. Air that is too damp can cause itchy skin and stuffy nasal passages, condensation on windows, water damage to materials, mildew and mold growth and rotting of wood materials in your home. Dehumidifiers remove moisture from musty air so you may enjoy year round comfort in your home or office with out all the above problems.
Portable dehumidifiers come in many different sizes depending on the application and area you need to control moisture. In general they have portable units from 30 to 65 U. S. pints per 24 hour and the amount or capacity of moisture they take out will depend on the actual room ambient temperature and humidity conditions. They operate on 115 volts and 60Hz. They come with water tanks or buckets with full bucket indicator with auto shut off function. Most units have memory restart function if the power goes off and ability to connect a water drain hose to the unit and not use the bucket. Portable dehumidifiers also have casters for easy mobility and have washable air filters.
There are other products like desiccate damp rid bags which can be used in closed areas like closet or storage areas but have to be replaced when full of water. Where you have outside walls you should not have things touching the wall so air can circulate between the objects and the wall. This will help prevent mildew and mold from growing.
