The First Ten – Redefining the First One Hundred Days
In these ominous times, our incoming President, Obama, is going to be contending with such a multiplicity of crises, which include current international events. This is more noteworthy because time is of the essence; and our 44th President of the United States is unreservedly aware that implementing immediate and strategic governance had to begin November 5th, 2008.
Since election night, as incoming President Obama began appointing members of his cabinet and new administration, his diverse team of rivals have been working behind the scenes, for who knows how many hours, discussing innovative ideas for new policies and putting into writing outlines for proposed legislation.
Obama’s dynamic administration team will have had about a 77 day start to be ready to initiate the process of executing critical legislation that will inevitably renew our Nation in so many ways. Because of all their hard work, the unveiling of their efforts will now be revealed to Congress by incoming President Obama, two weeks before he is even sworn into office on January 20th, 2009.
Americans are suffering. Not since the Great Depression eighty years ago, has Americans seen, or even experienced such dire times. For these, and many other reasons, we, all the people; the citizens of this Nation, are investing our trust and hope in a purposefully, thoughtful, intelligent man, to immediately step in the Oval Office, and with the governance bestowed upon him, roll up his sleeves and begin to do everything he possibly can to revive our Country.
It is pretty obvious that our Country does not have One Hundred days to get it right. Obama is already shouldering those high expectations Americans have of him; he knows One Hundred days is just too long to implement great change.
He knows.
The governance of this Country depends on his leadership and his purposeful guidance to promptly act in significant ways. That could be why his One Hundred days began the day after he was elected. Now, with even greater issues needing his guidance and attention, the remaining twenty-three days after his inauguration are now too long; crucial measures need to be executed within “The First Ten.”
It would not be so surprising, if one day after Americans witness the swearing in of our 44th President of the United States, another history making moment gets recorded during this same juncture of time. If ever there was a time to create more history and profoundly change the course of our Nation, it would be when our newly confirmed President Obama, redefines the first One Hundred days, into “The First Ten.”
