Real oak flooring
The real oak flooring, as the name suggests is 100 percent real. It is made of 100 percent original timber. This makes this form of oak flooring, really expensive.

Engineered oak flooring
Another popular form of oak flooring is the engineered oak flooring. The flooring consists of a solid thick top part of 10mm. It is then bonded on to the other timber types, like birch or ply.
This form of oak flooring has many advantages over the other forms. It is much more stable than the other ones. Also it is less prone to problems like twisting. The engineered oak flooring is suitable even for rooms that have a under floor heating provision. Also the flooring can be refinished any time you want to, without any problems.
Lacquered oak flooring
The Lacquered oak flooring is another popular form. It has a lacquered finish, achieved by using varnish and acrylic lacquer to polish the wood.
The lacquered oak flooring is also really smooth, much more than the normal oak flooring. The varnish as well as the air sprays used on the flooring makes it this smooth. In some cases an extra smoothness is added to the Lacquered oak flooring by applying more than one layers of varnish. It also adds some more shine and beauty to the floor and makes it easier to clean. In fact you can use just a damp cloth to clean the flooring.
The lacquered oak flooring is also much preferred because of its hardness and its higher resistance to pressure when it is compared to the normal oak. Also the flooring is very much cost effective compared to the other forms of flooring materials, which are expensive and are so delicate that they can break easily.
The lacquered flooring or the brushed and oiled oak flooring is very popular because of its beautiful looks and its durability.
