Electric showers operate by taking water directly from a cold water supply and heating it up as the shower is being used. These types of showers rely on heating mains cold water and don’t use a pump.

What to consider when buying an electric shower
There are a number of electric showers available on the market today, the main differences to look out for when choosing one are:
The KW
This is the most influential aspect of the electric shower because it determines how powerful it is. A high power electric shower ranges from about 8.5kw to 10.8kw. On top of the KW, there are a variety of different shower models – some with a more powerful spray than others.
The Design

Maintaining your shower
Keeping your shower clean is basic hygiene, but bear in mind that many household cleaners contain abrasives and therefore shouldn’t be used for cleaning plated or plastic fittings. These finishes should be cleaned with a mild washing up detergent or soap solution. To remove limescale, use your thumb or a soft cloth to wipe any build up from the soft rubber nozzles and the front face of the showerhead.
